Man critical after car and ambulance collide

A man is in a critical condition after a crash between an ambulance and a car in Dublin.

The collision happened at the Cabinteely crossroad on the N11 in South Dublin just before 1pm this afternoon.

It is understood the ambulance was transporting a patient to St Vincent's Hospital at the time of the crash.

The man in a critical condition is believed to be the patient, while the ambulance crew are receiving treatment in hospital.
