Man charged after serious assault in Derry

A 27-year-old man has been charged in the North after a serious assault in Derry.

A man was attacked in the Drumleck Drive area yesterday afternoon.

He has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He's due to appear at Derry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
