Man arrested in connection with alleged Human Trafficking

A man in his 40's has been arrested in Letterkenny in connection with alleged Human Trafficking.

The arrest was made as part of an operation, which began last month, when six men were rescued in the Donegal Town.

The six range in age from 21 to 45 and are now in secure accommodation.

A number of bodies are involved in the investigation including Romanian Authorities and the Garda Human Trafficking Investigation and Co-ordination Unit.

The arrested man is detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under section four of the criminal justice act.
