Man arrested after suspect package found in garda station

Update 8.45am: A man in his 40s has been arrested in Dublin after a suspect package was found at Store Street garda station this morning.

Earlier:

A hostel in Dublin city centre was evacuated this morning after a suspect package was found at Store St garda station.

The alarm was raised at around 6.30am.

The Army Bomb Disposal Squad were called and arrived around 7am to examine the package.

The street was closed to the public, but has since reopened. Jacobs Inn hostel was also evacuated.

The Red Luas Line and the Busaras bus station were also sealed off, but are running again.

Guests have also been allowed to re-enter the Jacobs Inn hostel.
