Man and woman released after ammunition find

A man and a woman arrested by gardaí over the seizure of two handguns, ammunition and a silencer have been released without charge.

Three other men remain in custody following the find in Cabra, north Dublin, on Thursday night.

The raids and arrests were carried out at a house as part of an intelligence-led operation against gangland criminals in the capital.

It involved armed members of the Garda Organised Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Unit.

Four men and a woman, aged from their early 20s to late 40s, were arrested at the property.

Two men are being questioned at Store Street Garda Station and one is being held at Finglas Garda Station.
