Man, 28, arrested after Donegal drug seizure

A 28 year old man has been arrested after a drug seizure in Co. Donegal.

Four kilos of a synthetic stimulant known as '4 MEC' were seized by Customs officers yesterday.

The drugs - thought to be worth €140,000 - were in a package bound for an address in Letterkenny and originated in China.

Last week, a 46 year old Bolivian national was detained at Cork airport, after he was found to have ingested a kilo of cocaine worth €70,000.

On Monday, he was charged at Cork District Court.
