Man, 25, dies after falling from horse in Offaly
He was brought by the Athlone-based Air Ambulance to Beaumont Hospital

A 25-year-old man has died after falling from a horse in Co Offaly.

The incident happened in Banagher just after 6pm yesterday evening.

It is understood the man suffered serious head injuries when he fell from the horse at Lusmagh Road.

He was brought by the Athlone-based Air Ambulance to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin but was pronounced dead on arrival in Dublin.

He has been named locally as Colin Guinan who was from Banagher.
