Man, 22, dies after car collides with wall in Co Laois

A 22-year-old man has died following a road traffic accident in Portarlington, Co Laois.

His car collided with a wall and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.

Gardaí are appealing for information about the accident that occurred at Kilmullen, Portarlington Co Laois at approximately 3.50am this morning.

The stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
