Man, 19, arrested as part of ongoing investigation in criminal activity in Dublin

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after as part of an ongoing investigation into organised criminal activity in Dublin.

The man was arrested at a house in Priorswood in Coolock during a planned search operation earlier this morning.

During the raid gardaí discovered a firearm, along with ammunition and a quantity of cannabis. Various drug paraphernalia was also seized.

The search was led by the Coolock Drugs Unit with the assistance of other local units.

The man is been detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Coolock Garda Station.
