Luas tram being filled with Christmas presents for homeless in Dublin

Efforts will get underway this morning to fill a Luas tram full of Christmas presents for homeless people.

Transdev has joined forces with Inner City Helping Homeless in order to provide people who live rough with much needed toiletries.

Last year over 3,000 shoeboxes filled with gifts and supplies were donated by members of the public.

It is hoped the success can be repeated at Connolly Station in Dublin throughout today - with organisers aiming for 5,000 donations.
