Limerick city assault: Man released without charge

The 22-year-old man who was arrested in relation to a serious assault on another man in Limerick city yesterday, has been released without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the DPP.

The 22-year-old victim was attacked on Bank Place in the city at around 2.30am yesterday.

Gardaí say he remains in a critical condition in hospital.
