Last night for Vita Cortex protesters

Tonight marks the last night of a sit-in by former workers at the Vita Cortex plant in Cork.

After 160 days, the striking workers have been receiving settlement payments from the company and will end their sit-in, marching out of the plant together tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.

The group have been sleeping at the Vita Cortex plant since last December in a row over redundancy payments, but an agreement was finally reached earlier this month bringing to the long-running dispute to a close.
