Laois car accident claims life of woman

A 24-year-old woman has been killed in a road crash in County Laois.

The collision occurred at Rossleaghan, Portlaoise shortly before 3am this morning, when the car in which the woman was a passenger collided with the side of a building.

A 26-year-old man who was the driver of the car has been taken to Portlaoise with serious injuries.
