Lagan Brick workers mark dispute's 100th day

Workers at Lagan Brick in Co Cavan marked the hundredth day of a dispute with their employer today.

The Kingscourt manufacturing plant closed on December 15. Workers say they were given only hours notice.

Twenty-five SIPTU workers at the factory have been involved in a dispute with management since then, over the terms of their redundancy packages.

The union has called on company owners to engage in meaningful talks with the workers.

Meanwhile, workers say they remain committed to maintaining their strike action.
