Labour to seek establishment of job-creation plan

The Labour Party is to table a motion in the Dáil next week calling for the establishment of an emergency job-creation plan.

Party leader Eamon Gilmore says Labour will outline a series of measures aimed at getting people back to work and facilitating re-training opportunities for those who have lost their jobs.

He says the Government has so far failed to take action to deal with the huge rise in unemployment rates this year.
