'King Rat' killer dies of cancer in North

INLA man convicted for murdering renegade loyalist leader Billy "King Rat" Wright has died from cancer.

Christopher - known as "Crip" - Mc Williams was convicted for his role in Wright's murder behind bars in the Maize jail in Christmas 1997.

The INLA had smuggled a gun into the jail, and a public tribunal is ongoing into claims State forces colluded in the murder to prevent Wright speaking out about how police officers assisted him in murders during the 1980s.
