Kenny: Polls are 'volatile'

The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said he will not be considering his position, despite an opinion poll out this week putting his party level on support with Fianna Fáil.

Fine Gael dropped three points to 24% in the latest Irish Times poll, while at the same time Fianna Fáil went up three points and is also on 24%.

Both parties are well behind Labour which is on 33%.

The results of the poll raise further questions about Enda Kenny's leadership.

But speaking on a visit to Donabate/Portrane Educate together National School in Dublin

this morning, Enda Kenny said the recent polls were "wildly fluctuating and volatile" and his leadership was not under threat.
