Kenny 'impressed with independents'

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has opened the door for independents to join a coalition after the next election.

Mr Kenny says he has been very impressed with the contribution some independents have made in the current Dáil.

He made the comments while outlining the choices the public might face in the next election.

His comments could suggest that a deal could be reached, if independents are needed to form another government.

He said: "I might say that a number of the independent deputies have been quite constructive in their propositions being put forward here."
