Kenny expected to retain five rebels

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny is expected to retain around five of the TDs who voted no-confidence in him when he names his front bench this afternoon.

Among them will be Richard Bruton, but the Finance portfolio he previously held is tipped to go to former leader Michael Noonan.

Former Minister Sean Barrett is also likely to return to the front bench, while a further six of Enda Kenny's opponents are likely to be axed to make way for new faces - one of them is expected to be Joe Carey.
