Irish universities fail to make top 200 list

No Irish university has managed to make it into the top 200 universities in the world.

Both Trinity and UCD, who were ranked number 160 and 176 respectively last year, have dropped outside the top 200, with Trinity being excluded for submitting incorrect data.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings show improvements for NUI Galway and the Royal College of Surgeons, which have entered the top 250.

The UK's University of Oxford is the top ranked university, the first time that the top spot has gone to a university outside the US.
