Irish punter celebrating €33k win from long-odds Euromillions bet

A Tipperary native hit the jackpot when they scooped €33,001 on Friday’s EuroMillions draw with BoyleSports.

The customer placed a €1 stake on four numbers to be drawn from the EuroMillions main draw, choosing 2, 11, 13 and 21.

When all four numbers were drawn they defied odds of 33,000/1 and turned the lucky gambler’s €1 into a tidy €33,001.

Had they chosen to do their lucky numbers with the National Lottery instead they would have walked away with the much smaller sum of €69.

“We want to wish the Tipp punter all the best with their fantastic winnings and hope they enjoy spending every cent of it,” said Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports.
