Irish man dies while on holiday in Spain

An Irish man has died while on holiday in Spain.

The 44-year-old reportedly became separated from friends before falling ill on Saturday night.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs said the government is aware of the case.

The department is providing consular assistance to the man's family.
