Irish bid to break hugging record fails

An Irish bid to break the Guinness World Record for the most couples hugging simultaneously has failed.

Over 500 people gathered in Dublin's Molesworth Street for the attempt this afternoon.

However the record remains unbroken, as it currently stands at over 6,000.
