Airline passengers flying out of Dublin to London and Europe are advised that there are significant delays because of the computer error at an air traffic control centre south of London.

The Irish Aviation Authority which provides air traffic control at Dublin, Shannon and Cork is advising prospective travellers to contact the airline they are booked with.

Thousands of people at UK airports are also facing chaos tonight because of the An Air Traffic Control computer glitch at Swanwick in Hampshire.
