INMO releases today's trolley and ward watch figures

More than 450 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

Beaumont hospital, Dublin, is the most overcrowded with 42 people in need of a bed, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Cork University Hospital is next with 33 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.

The Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore has 32 patients waiting, with the overall number showing 349 waiting on trolleys and 102 in overflow wards around the country.
