ICTU to debate reforms and economic crisis

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions Biennial Conference gets underway in Belfast today.

Over 700 hundred delegates will debate a range of motions including the economic crisis, the reform of trade union structures and workplace rights and equality.

The union is calling for the introduction of a sustained programme of investment to create jobs and for Ireland to sign up to the Financial Transaction tax.
