Time to get your weatherproofs down from the attic, folks - autumn weather arrives this weekend.
Heavy rain, thundery downpours and spot flooding over Thursday night and Friday morning will bring poor conditions to the south and to the west of the country according to Met Eireann.
The wet weather looks set to last throughout most of Friday in the west and south, before spreading east, though Met Eireann says it will possibly ease up on Friday afternoon, giving us some bit of relief at least.
Dublin and the rest of the east coast will miss the worst of the rain on Friday, though there will be heavy rainfall in parts of the east.
