A group alleging Garda corruption in the handling of their cases is to take an appeal to the UN's Human Rights Council.
The families claim an independent review established by Frances Fitzgerald has failed to give a full analysis.
The cases include historical murders going back to the 1980s, which involve alleged Garda involvement or collusion.
Independent TD Mick Wallace has said the full review promised by the justice minister has failed to materialise: “She initially said that she expected a full report back on all the cases by the end of September 2014.
“As we know it went on for more than a year after that.
“The whole thing was just dissipated, watered down, let it just run its course.
“It has been seriously disingenuous, how the state has handled it.”
