Grenade found in Tipperary housing estate

A number of homes have been evacuated in Cahir, Co Tipperary, following the discovery of a suspected hand grenade.

A member of the public made the discovery at the Lakeview housing estate at around 9.30am today.

The area has been sealed off until the grenade can be examined and made safe.
