Google Street View is being extended to some of Dublin's more remote beauty spots.

Howth Head's cliff walk and Sandycove's Forty Foot swimming spot are among the locations to be captured using a wearable version of Google's street view camera.

Fáilte Ireland is behind the project.

They have already captured remote locations on the Wild Atlantic Way, with the imagery due to go online in early 2016.

Fáilte Ireland said six out of 10 visitors last year said the internet was an influence when deciding to visit Ireland.
