Google 'splash out €300k on Christmas party for Dublin staff'

Google HQ in Dublin

Google spent €300,000 on their office Christmas party in Dublin, it has been reported.

The Sunday Independent reports that the tech giant's Irish office took over the entirety of Dublin's RDS last Friday for a no-expense spared New York-themed Christmas bash.

Employees enjoyed their own ice-skating rink, a Ferris wheel, amusements, performers and a whole room dedicated to balloons.

The rumoured budget for the event was in excess of €300,000.

Its San Francisco staff took over the world-famous City Hall and in New York, the company threw a Great Gatsby-style black tie do in Wall Street's famed Cipriani restaurant.
