Gardaí uncover cannabis grow house in Offaly

Gardaí have uncovered a cannabis grow house in Co. Offaly.

A 20 year old man has been arrested after the discovery at a premises on Bridge Street in Birr.

Around 260 cannabis plants were found, with a potential street value, subject to analysis of €208,000.

The man is being held at Birr Garda Station.

Meanwhile, six men and a woman remain in Garda custody following drug seizures at six locations in Co Wexford.

The seven - aged in their mid 20s to early 60s - were detained under Operation Serpentine - which targets the cultivation and sale and supply of drugs in the South East.
