Gardai seek public assistance after Malahide burglary

Gardai are appealing to the public for assistance after a 78 year-old man was held at knifepoint in his home in Dublin earlier this week.

It happened on Old Street in Malahide between 3pm and 3.30pm on Monday afternoon.

The elderly man was locked in a room while the intruder made off with a small quantity of jewellery.

Gardai in Malahide are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen a male acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Old Street, Malahide to contact them on 01 6664600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
