Gardaí question two after drugs and cash seizures in west

Gardaí investigating a major drugs and cash find in Sligo will continue questioning two people this morning.

On Tuesday a middle-aged man was held after officers found cocaine and cannabis in a car on Lagan Drive.

Follow-up raids on homes in the town revealed more drugs, as well as a stash of cash worth more than €90,000.

Yesterday a woman in her 20s was arrested after another €45,000 worth of cannabis resin was discovered in a separate house in the area.

The pair are being held at Ballymote garda station while the investigation is ongoing.
