Gardaí question passport office man in fraud investigation

Gardaí are today questioning a man in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation at Dublin's passport office.

A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested after internal checks revealed irregularities in the processing of three passports.

The woman has since been released and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

The arrests followed an investigation launched by the Passport Service last Autumn, following the discovery of the irregularities.
