Gardaí question man in connection with Skerries murder

A 29-year-old man is still being questioned by Gardaí in Co Dublin in connection with the murder of Michael Gannon.

The 55-year-old was attacked while he was baby-sitting two grandchildren in Mourne Park in Skerries on Thursday evening.

A Romanian man was arrested shortly afterwards and remains in custody this morning.

A post-mortem was carried out on Mr Gannon's body yesterday, but gardaí will not release the results for operational reasons.

They are appealing for anyone who was in the area on Thursday, or who may have seen anything suspicious, to come forward.
