Gardaí name teenager killed in Cork house fire

Investigations are continuing into a fatal fire at a house in Cork city yesterday afternoon in which a 17-year-old boy died.

It is understood Evan Kidney may have been overcome by smoke following a chip pan fire.

The blaze broke out in Elmvale in Wilton shortly after 3pm.

It is not being treated as suspicious.
