Gardaí launch murder investigation into Tipperary stabbing

A murder investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in Tipperary town.

The attack happened after 6pm yesterday evening as the man sat in his van outside a shop in Kickham Place.

The victim, believed to be in his late 50s, is said to be from the Tipperary town area.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out this afternoon.
