Gardaí launch appeal for information after fatal Offaly crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her early 60's was killed in a car crash in Birr in Co Offaly yesterday morning.

The collision happened at 11:20am on the N52 Kilcormac to Tullamore road just outside Kilcormac after a car collided with a transport lorry.

Another woman in the car - also in her 60s - and the driver of the lorry were not injured in the incident.

Gardaí in Birr are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
