Gardaí issue alert after gunpoint BMW robbery

There is a nationwide alert after a BMW was taken from a businessman and his family at gunpoint in Rathfarnham in Dublin yesterday.

The high-powered car worth over €100,000 was stolen after a gang forced their way into a home in the Mount Venus estate.

Three masked men reportedly threatened to kidnap the family, who had been woken at around 3am, if they did not hand over the keys.

Now Gardaí believe it was stolen to order and are asking anyone who saw the car with an 07 D 14682 registration plate to get in touch.
