Gardaí investigating possible kidnapping and car hijacking in Dublin

An investigation is ongoing after a woman was allegedly kidnapped in north Dublin this morning.

Gardaí in north Dublin are investigating the incident which is thought to be a possible kidnapping and car hijacking.

One woman, aged 36, was injured during the incident.

The victim told police she was stopped at traffic lights on Clonshaugh Road when an unknown male forced his way into her vehicle.

According to the victim the man punched her a number of times before forcing her into the back seat.

The man then crashed into a roundabout in Donabate and fled the scene.

The woman was found in the car, physically injured and in fear, at around 5am this morning.
