Gardaí investigate reports of shots fired in Meath; two men held

Gardaí at Trim Co Meath are investigating reports of shots being fired at a location at Readstown, Summerhill, Co Meath on Friday.

An operation was undertaken by Trim gardaí assisted by local Detectives and the Garda Regional Support Unit yesterday afternoon.

During the course of the search of a house at Readstown, Sunmmerhill a pistol and ammunition were recovered along with other items.

Two men, aged 19 and 31, were arrested. Both are being held at Trim Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Investigations are continuing.
