Gardaí investigate Mullingar accident; three injured

Gardaí in Mullingar are investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle collision outside Mullingar this afternoon.

The collision occurred at approximately 12pm on the Mullingar to Killucan road, approximately five miles outside Mullingar.

The three male occupants of the car were injured in the collision and were taken to Mullingar and Tullamore Hospital for treatment. Two are believed to be in a critical condition.

Forensic collision investigators are at the scene and the road is closed with traffic diversions in place.
