Gardaí investigate fatal road crash

Gardaí are investigating a fatal crash in Co. Tipperary.

The 39-year-old female pedestrian was knocked down by a van at Moyneard near Moyne shortly after 4pm yesterday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was uninjured.

It is reported the woman was to be married in just a few weeks time.
