Gardaí investigate discovery of foetus in Donegal

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of what is understood to be a human foetus near a house in the greater Dunkineely area of Co. Donegal.

The foetus, aged between 12 and 16 weeks gestation, was found on Tuesday afternoon.

Gardaí said they are trying to establish the identity of the mother as a duty for her care and well-being.
