Gardaí in Donegal launch murder investigation

Gardaí in Donegal have launched murder investigation following the discovery of a body of a man in Letterkenny.

A postmortem has shown that the Polish national, Bogdan Michalkiewicz, suffered serious injuries in an attack but have not confirmed how he died.

The body of Mr. Michalkiewicz, who is in his early 40s, was discovered in an apartment in the lower main street area of the town at 11am yesterday morning.

He had been living in Ireland for the last seven years.
