Gardaí hold four men alleged to have threatened life of Leitrim businessman

Four people are being questioned at garda stations in Leitrim after reports of threats to kill a local businessman.

The four, all understood to be from Northern Ireland, were arrested yesterday afternoon in the Killeshandra area of Co Cavan.

Two are being questioned in Carrick-on-Shannon garda station and the other two are being held at Manorhamilton.

All four are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

It is understood the threats to kill the Co Leitrim businessman were made yesterday.
