Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with daytime assault in Cork city centre

Gardaí investigating the death of 37 year old Vincent Morgain have arrested an man in his 20s.

The incident occurred at Lower Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City on September 10, 2015, shortly after 2pm.

Gardaí arrested the 22 year old man, who is from Co. Cork, in Cork city this afternoon.

He is detained at Bridewell Garda Station in Cork under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
