Gardaí confirm body found in Sligo is Natalia Karaczyn; Man still in Garda custody

Update - 9.53pm:The body found this morning in Sligo has been formally identified as Natalia Karaczyn.

A 32-year-old man arrested this morning in connection with the investigation remains in Garda custody.

Update - 11am: Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a 30-year-old woman in Sligo have found a body.

Natalia Karaczyn went missing from her home in Crozon Park in the town early on Sunday morning.

Gardaí discovered the body on an area of open ground near Carns on the outskirts of Sligo this morning.

The remains have not been formally identified.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and members of the Garda Technical Bureau have been tasked to examined the scene.

A 32-year-old man - who it is understood was known to Natalia - has been re-arrested after he was released from custody earlier this morning.

Update 8.45am: Man arrested in connection with disappearance of woman in Sligo released without charge

A man arrested in connection with the disappearance of a woman in Co. Sligo has been released without charge.

30-year-old Natalia Karaczyn, has been missing from her home in Crozon Park since Sunday morning.

A 32-year-old man was arrested yesterday, but he was released without charge this morning.

Investigations are continuing into her disappearance, which Gardaí are treating as suspicious.

A man has been arrested over the disappearance of a woman in Co Sligo.

30-year-old Natalia Karaczyn has been missing from her home in Crozon Park since Sunday morning.

Gardaí are treating her disappearance as suspicious and are concerned for her safety.

Yesterday a 32-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody this morning at Ballymote Garda Station.

Natalia's home has been sealed off and a forensic exam's been carried out.
