Gardaí arrest woman after finding €250,000 worth of cocaine in confectionery tins

Revenue officers seized 3.8kg cocaine last night at Dublin Airport.

A 39-year-old Portuguese woman arriving in Dublin from Dubai was stopped and questioned, following routine profiling by Revenue officers.

According to gardaí, she was found to be carrying cocaine in three confectionery tins.

The woman was arrested and detained by Gardaí. Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.

The estimated street value of the cocaine is €250,000.
